Ducati produces approximately 40 000 bikes a year and with its rich racing history has won 13 World Superbike Championships.
This places Audi in a platform to compete against rivalry BMW in superbike competition and makes the third Italian company under the Volkswagon umbrella alongside Lamborghini and Italdesign-Giugiaro.
